Mir-Lesnar III?
After splitting their first two matches, former WWE announcer Jim Ross called it exactly right in terms of what sort of match UFC’s Brock Lesnar should be booked in for his spring 2011 return following his most devastating loss in MMA: Ross wants to see a decisive rematch between Lesnar and Frank Mir.
It’s hard to argue with his logic. Even MMA fans who still need a home remedy for acne would agree. That’s the biggest proof-match Lesnar could have that would show he’s ready to challenge the man who took the title from him, Cain Velasquez.
Lesner’s next defense
UFC Heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar was less obnoxious and quite a bit more humble in victory following his win over previously undefeated Shane Carwin. After surviving a brutal first round that saw Carwin completely dominate Lesnar, Brock was able to post a second-round comeback and choke out Carwin for the victory, retaining his title.
So what’s next for the guy who needs no Lipozene? It appears Lesnar’s next title defense is now set for UFC 121 in October; his opponent? Cain Velasquez.
Should be intriguing.
